Developers Complete Utilities Deal With Miami-Dade County For 31-Story Tower At 600 Miami Worldcenter

The 31-story 600 Miami Worldcenter (600 MWC) has reached a significant development milestone, with the developers securing a utility agreement from Miami-Dade’s Water and Sewer Department. This agreement is essential for providing services to the building, marking notable progress in this pre-construction phase of the project. Designed by Revuelta Architecture International and featuring interiors by Designagency, the development is a joint venture between Aria Development and Merrimac Ventures under the 55 NE 6TH ACQUISITION LLC. The 327-foot-tall structure is set to rise at 600 Northeast 1st Avenue, bordered by Northeast 6th Street to the south and train tracks to the north. OneWorld Properties is exclusively managing sales and marketing for the project. Miami’s Urban Development Review Board recommended approval for 600 MWC in July.

Miami’s Building Department has recently issued a construction permit for The Crosby, an upcoming 33-story mixed-use building located within Miami Worldcenter at 601 North Miami Avenue in downtown Miami. Designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates Architects with interiors envisioned by AvroKO and developed by DT G Block LLC, a joint venture between Related Group and Merrimac Ventures, the 377-foot-tall structure will encompass 450 condominium units, accommodating short-term rentals, along with more than 22,000 square feet of amenities, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and 3,370 square feet of retail space. Notably, the development will omit parking facilities. Beauchamp Construction serves as the general contractor.

The mat foundation is now complete for 501First Residences, a 40-story residential tower at 501 Northeast 1st Avenue in the vibrant heart of Downtown Miami, developed by Aria Development Group and AQARAT. The successful execution of this momentous milestone was a collaborative effort involving general contractor Beauchamp Construction, alongside the project’s shell contractor, JGR Construction, concrete contractor, US American Concrete, and concrete materials from Titan America. This tremendous endeavor spanned an impressive 10 hours, commencing on Friday, June 30, at midnight. A continuous rotation of 170 cement trucks meticulously laid an astounding 1,700 cubic yards of concrete, signifying an exhilarating advancement in the construction progress.
