Canopy Park, Miami Beach’s new three-acre community park situated between the 600 and 700 blocks of Alton Road and designed by ArquitectonicaGEO, is now open to the public. Park-goers can enjoy open greenspaces shaded by native tree species, pedestrian trails and bike paths, an outdoor gym and dog run, a MONSTRUM-designed children’s playground, and public art displays. Designed with sustainability in mind, Canopy Park reflects how landscape architecture can serve as a green resiliency solution for coastal communities with a host of environmentally conscious features including a Maritime Hammock, bioswales, and a 25,000-gallon cistern to conserve and manage rainwater.

An application has been filed requesting modifications to a previously approved design review approval for the construction of Town Center Gateway, a new 13-story mixed-use building planned for 666 71st Street in North Beach, Miami Beach. The developer is specifically requesting to add an additional parcel of land to the assemblage, make changes to the design on all elevations and rearrange the layouts of the floor plans. Built Form Architecture is listed as the architect for developer Nobe Creek LLC, an entity mostly owned by the Galbut Family. The development would yield 159,868 square feet of new construction including 126 residential units, 9,500 square feet of commercial space and 40 parking vehicle spaces.

Designed by Arquitectonica and developed by Sixth Street Miami Partners LLC, a company owned by the Galbut Family, the development will yield 932,859 square feet a mix of residential, office, hotel and commercial spaces. Located just south of the Miami Worldcenter development, the site is bounded by Northeast 1st Avenue to the west, Northeast 6th Street to the south, Northeast 2nd Avenue to the east and Bezel at Miami Worldcenter to the north.
